She uses graphic analogies to express her concern and is often blunt with the political and business elites about the inability of them to collectively take steps. Thunberg's bold actions first began in the month of August. The woman sat quietly in the Swedish Parliament, made the sign "School Strike For Climate" and also boycotted her school. Her goal was to draw the interest of politicians and encourage them to take steps to reduce the global warming. Swedish media captured Thunbergs protest and message spread. In the following days, a plethora of students around the globe joined her #FridaysforFuture strikes skipping school on Fridays in protest of the effects of climate change. Climate activists from all around the world coordinated the Global Strike for Climate. The event was hugely successful. Over 1.6 million people from more than 125 countries took part.

Nia peeples was born Virenia Gwendolyn. She is an American musician and actor.
